Our mandate

The mission of the Quebec Confederation for Engineering Student Outreach is to protect, defend and promote the interests of its members. QCESO ensures the well-being and development of engineering students, whether they be of academic, educational, social or cultural interest. In addition, the Confederation represents student interests and voices their concerns with key players such as the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec and the council of Deans of Engineering in Quebec.

What exactly is QCESO?

Our Majors Events

QCESO oversees two major events: the Quebec Engineering Competition and the Engineering Games. Both are very different events that nonetheless bring students together.

QUEBEC ENGINEERING COMPETITION (QEC)

The event aims to showcase the and skills and technical know-how of more than 250 future engineers through technical competitions. These offer a multitude of challenges ranging from consulting engineering to public debate and re-engineering. The creativity, innovation and resourcefulness of the participants make QEC an essential competition for the engineering student community.

ENGINEERING GAMES

In this competition, students have the opportunity to display their cultural and scientific knowledge. In order to win the highest honours, participants must make use of their technical skills, their physical aptitude, and their sense of innovation. In fact, improvisation matches, academic competitions, and sports tournaments are all a part of the event. The Games bring together more than 400 students each year!
